One pot and one tray dinners
Fewer pans means less washing up, and on a weeknight that counts for a lot. These recipes are cooked in a single pan, a single tray or a slow cooker, so the cooking and the clearing up both stay manageable.
One tray and one pot cooking also tends to be forgiving. Everything cooks together, the flavours build as it goes, and there is less to time and juggle than with a dinner spread across three hobs. It is a good way in for anyone who finds recipes with lots of moving parts a bit much. Traybakes in particular are hard to get wrong, because the oven does most of the work while you get on with something else.
The slow cooker recipes need a few minutes of prep and then look after themselves until dinner, which suits days when everyone gets home at different times. Filter the meal planner by method to build a whole week of low-effort dinners, and let the shopping list do the rest.
